is also a publishing company, and sells a range of books on local history, coffee
table & photographic books. The Orphanage Shop near the Old Fort, sells
crafts and paintings by local artists and the orphanages themselves. Some of
the best souvenirs to bring back from Zanzibar are Kangas & Kikoys, Bao
Games (Are played on street croners and in villages across East Africa), Zanzibar
chests which come in all sizes from tiny jewellery boxes to huge trunks. The
